In collaboration with The Independent, E2E, an entrepreneurial community that supports business owners on their journey, has created a list of the leading UK businesses for job creation.
To be included, companies had to meet the following criteria over their most two recent filing periods: a minimum of 100 employees, a turnover of above £10 million and maintaining a percentage growth in staff above 25% over the period.
The UK unemployment rate currently stands at 4.2%, according to statistics from April to June 2024. So, this list shines a light on those businesses that are bridging the unemployment gap through job creation and ultimately improving the UK economy and the communities in which they operate.
Leaders featured in the E2E Job Creation 100 include: Barinder Hothi, Group Managing Director at The Knowledge Academy Holdings Limited, with a 320% increase, Craig Dean, Executive Chairman and CEO at Gerald Group Limited, who has driven an impressive 250% in employee growth and Benjain Knowles, Partner at Clyde & Co Claims LLP, with a 242% increase.
Shalini Khemka CBE, Founder of E2E, said: “The E2E Job Creation 100 list highlights the exceptional work of businesses that have been increasing the number of jobs available at their organisation.
“It shines a light on their remarkable efforts to positively contribute to job creation, all while still making an impressive turnover of over £10 million. Where the UK economy is in a turbulent state, with lots of uncertainty around job stability – particularly with the introduction of AI – businesses that are striving to increase employment at their establishments is a feat to be celebrated.
“At E2E, we hope these incredible businesses and their entrepreneurs can inspire others to display similar forms of job creation at their own organisations.”
Andrew Morley, Chief Revenue Officer from The Independent, said: “This list shows the businesses that are making truly remarkable advancements in their industries for job creation, and we are delighted to highlight their achievements.
“Our relationship with E2E enables us to utilise our platform and share the merits of businesses and entrepreneurs that are making a positive difference. With the E2E Job Creation 100 list, it has been an honour to showcase the exceptional work of those that have supported the UK economy and taken steps to bridge the unemployment gap.”
